TOPIC: Be Bold As A Lion.

SCRIPTURE: The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. – Proverbs 28:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The revelation of your identity in Christ produces the boldness of a lion.

THE MESSAGE

Righteousness imparts boldness to the righteous. That is why our anchor Scripture above makes it clear that the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Now, this is not merely a description of courage; it is a revelation of identity. God intends for His people to understand who they are so they can live in accordance with that understanding and reality.

God never designed the believer to live in fear, intimidation, or uncertainty. Fear is an attribute of the wicked or the unrighteous, but boldness is the nature of the righteous. That is why the Scripture says, The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Master, is called the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. And through redemption, we have become heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. This means that we belong to the lion tribe. We are covenant lions in the realm of the spirit.

One of the first things we learn about the lion is that it is a symbol of royalty, authority, rulership, and dominion. The lion is known as the king of the wild. In the same way, God has made us kings and priests unto Himself (Revelation 1:6). We are not called to live with a slave mentality but with the consciousness of our royal identity.

When a child is born into a royal family, he does not struggle to become or behave royal. He is born into royalty. As time passes, that royal identity is developed into a royal mentality. In the same manner, believers must develop a mindset that aligns perfectly with the Nature of God and their identity that is an offshoot of that Nature.

Many people blame their limitations on the devil, their environment, or their family background. However, many times, the real challenge is their mentality. The lion rules by sense and not by size. It does not rule because it is the biggest animal in the jungle, it rules because of its mindset. It carries itself with confidence, authority, and most importantly, an unmistakable awareness of its position.

Beloved, never forget that you belong to the tribe of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. Refuse every mentality of inferiority and timidity. Refuse to see yourself as a victim of circumstances.

The revelation of your identity in Christ produces the boldness of a lion. God has called you into a life of dominion, authority, and kingdom influence. Let your thoughts, words, and actions align with your divine heritage and identity of royalty.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for making me a part of the lion tribe through Jesus Christ. I receive the grace to think, speak, and act with the consciousness of my royal identity. Help me to walk in boldness, authority, and dominion, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
