TOPIC – Check The Level Of Your Fire.

MEMORISE: Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. – 2 Timothy 1:6

BIBLE READING: Leviticus 6:12-13

12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.

13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

THE MESSAGE:

There are three ways a fire can burn. It could be burning bright, burning low, or completely burned out. This also applies to the fire of God in a believer’s life. If a believer’s fire is burning brightly, he or she must be careful and watch it closely to ensure it continues burning. This is because the enemy is always watching and waiting for the fire to go out so he can attack. This is why such a person needs to stay connected to God and keep doing things that will keep the fire burning, like praying, studying the Bible, and living in a way that pleases God.

If a believer’s fire is burning low, it means that he or she is lukewarm. He or she may still go to church and appear to be a vibrant Christian, but deep down, such a person knows that his or her fire is low. It is dangerous when a believer’s fire is low because the devil can attack him or her more easily. That is why such a person needs to cry out to God and ask for a fresh baptism of fire.

My dear child, if your fire is completely burnt out, it may be that you have gone back to your past habits and are now involved in things that are not pleasing to God. You may have drifted far from God’s will, but God has not rejected you. He still loves you and wants you back. All you need to do is return to Him in repentance and with a sincere heart. Ask Him to restore you and give you a fresh baptism of fire.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to keep my fire burning until I see you in glory, in Jesus’ name.
