Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 12 October 2026 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche

TOPIC: The Secret Of Answered Prayer.

SCRIPTURE: But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. – Hebrews 11:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The strength of your prayer is directly proportional to the strength of your relationship with God as well as your knowledge of Him.

THE MESSAGE:

Many people desire answered prayers, but few understand what enhances the strength and effectiveness of prayers. The secret of answered prayer cannot be reduced to a single formula because prayer is too vast to be explained by one principle.

However, two foundational forces determine the strength and effectiveness of prayer, and they are:

a. A standing relationship with God
b. The knowledge of God.

A standing relationship with God is the foundation for a vibrant prayer life. Elijah declared, “Before the Lord God of Israel, before whom I stand…” (1 Kings 17:1). His confidence in prayer flowed from the quality of his relationship with God. He stood before God with a clear conscience, not as one who was careless about God’s commands or habitually grieving the Spirit.

The truth is, it is difficult to confidently make requests from someone with whom you have no relationship. It is even much more difficult to expect favours from someone you continually offend.

In the same manner, persistent acts of disobedience, compromise, deceit, and careless lifestyle weaken confidence before God. Scripture makes it clear that “the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord” (Proverbs 15:8). God desires sincerity, righteousness, and a heart that honours Him.

Beloved, the healthier your walk with God, the greater your confidence in His Presence at the place of prayer.

Another vital secret of answered prayer is the knowledge of God. While relationship gives confidence, the knowledge of God fuels faith. Hebrews 11:6 declares that anyone who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Your prayer cannot rise above your revelation of God.

Two dimensions of God’s nature are crucial to prayer:

The first one is the loving nature of God. Knowing that God is love gives us the confidence to approach Him as a caring Father who delights in blessing His children.

The second one is the Almightiness of God. When you know that there is no force in heaven, on earth, or beneath the earth that can resist God’s Power, your faith in Him becomes unshakable.Explore Faiths

No wonder, Paul the Apostle prayed, That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection… (Philippians 3:10). One of the greatest prayers any believer can pray is, “Lord, show me who You are.”

Every fresh revelation of God strengthens our faith, makes our prayers more effective, and transforms our life. The more you know God, the stronger your faith and the greater your confidence in approaching Him.

Beloved, if you desire greater results in prayer, then cultivate a vibrant relationship with God and pursue a deeper knowledge of His Person through His Word and fellowship.

REMEMBER THIS: The strength of your prayer is directly proportional to the strength of your relationship with God as well as your knowledge of Him.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

Examine your walk with God and remove every habit that weakens your fellowship with Him.
Ask God to reveal Himself to you in a fresh way so your faith and confidence in prayer can continually increase.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the light of Your Word to me today. Draw me into deeper fellowship with You and grant me a greater revelation of Your love and Almighty Power. Let my confidence in prayer grow stronger as my relationship with You deepens, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
