TOPIC: The Power Of The Glory Encounter.

THE MESSAGE:

SCRIPTURE: And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. Exodus 33:18

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible for life to remain the same after a genuine encounter with the glory of God.

There is no encounter with the glory of God that leaves a person the same. When the glory of God invades a life, the ordinary gives way to the extraordinary, the natural gives way for the supernatural.

Moses understood this fact, so he cried to God in our anchor Scripture, saying, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory (Exodus 33:18). One thing is certain: it is impossible for a life to remain the same after a genuine encounter with the glory of God.

Now, what happens when the glory of God invades a life?

The glory brings deliverance for life and destiny.
Deliverance includes everything from healing to the breaking of every form of bondage.
When God invaded the life of Moses, Scripture makes it clear that at 120 years old, …his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated (Deuteronomy 34:7). God’s glory delivered Moses from sickness, weakness, and infirmity.
The glory provides defence against danger.
Isaiah 4:5 says, …upon all the glory shall be a defence.
Understand this: wherever the glory of God rests, you are not permitted to die before your time.
The glory brings the demonstration of the supernatural.
When the glory invades your life, the supernatural becomes natural (John 2:11). A man or woman who walks in the glory of God is a man or woman who walks in the supernatural.
The glory brings distinction for life and destiny.
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee (Isaiah 60:1). When the glory of God rises upon you, you cannot remain hidden or die unnoticed; you stand out.
The glory deploys Divine resources.
Wherever the glory is, the resources of heaven flow.
Scripture says in Philippians 4:19, …my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Where the glory of God is present, the resources of heaven are released.
What, then, is the way to the glory?

The way to the glory is uprightness. Romans 3:23 says, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. When the conscience is defiled, the glory is denied. For example, Adam had the covering of God’s glory, but the moment he disobeyed God, the glory departed. Disobedience to God is disconnection from the glory.

Beloved, desire a fresh encounter with God to connect His glory. Live uprightly before Him and position yourself for a continual invasion of His presence.

REMEMBER THIS: It is not possible for life to remain the same after a genuine encounter with the glory of God.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

Make a fresh commitment to live uprightly before God every day.
Ask God in prayer for a fresh encounter with His glory.
Reject every form of disobedience that disconnects you from God’s glorious Presence.
PRAYER: Father, I ask for a fresh encounter with Your glory. Deliver me from every trace of sin, and establish me in uprightness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
