Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 27 October 2026 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche

TOPIC: The Word–The Life Of Faith.

SCRIPTURE: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. – Proverbs 28:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is better to confess your sins than to excuse them.

THE MESSAGE:

One of the greatest strategies of the devil is to make what is wrong appear right until people lose the ability to distinguish between sinfulness and righteousness. This is why you must live in holiness and be conscious of your eternal destination.

There are people who steal and cheat and still feel normal. Someone’s money falls off, and someone else who calls themself Christian sees the person going and said, “Thank God the man did not see it,” and thereafter proceeds to get it.God-centered merchandise

Someone sends you on an errand, and you keep the change to yourself without returning it, thinking that it is your blessing. That is a curse, and not a blessing.

The question then is, how can we live in holiness and overcome the things that easily beset us?

Repent and confess all sins promptly
As far as you live in the flesh, temptation is normal and will come. Do not kill yourself because you were tempted or because you fell into temptation. The counsel is, don’t lie down there, don’t live there, and don’t let falling in the mud of temptation become a habit. Just be sincere, be real and be genuine. If you fall, say, “Lord, I am sorry.” Refuse to sleep with guilt and unconfessed sin because you don’t know what will happen overnight.
Repent promptly and confess all sins promptly. This keeps your conscience tender; that means your conscience is awake and alive. You refuse to get used to sin, you refuse to get used to doing wrong, and you refuse to entertain or accept sin as a normal way of life. Don’t excuse your sin; confess your sins. It is better to confess your sins than to excuse them.

Apply for the grace to overcome
There is something called weak points or weaknesses in the lives of different people. Hebrews 12:1 speaks of …the sin which doth so easily beset us. There are sins that easily beset people; that may be the class of your own temptation and might be what the enemy likes to use to pull you down.
Some people who have not drunk or smoked and have no interest in it, but try them with money. For them, money matter is a major matter, even at the point of tonguing, they can be cheating. There are people whose problem is lying, gossip, immorality, betrayal or other weaknesses. When you identify, “This is what the devil wants to use to take me to hell,” you say, “Lord, I apply for grace in this area.”

Grace is what tells us to say no. If lying is your problem, reduce your talk. If gossip is your problem, spell your words. If betrayal is your problem, reduce the way you talk. There is nothing wrong with applying for grace as frequently as you can.

Beloved, whatever God does not give you does not add to you. Live in holiness, repent promptly, confess your sins and continually apply for grace to overcome.God-centered merchandise
