TOPIC: How To Avoid Being Cursed (2).

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 14, Ezekiel 15, 1 Corinthians 14, 1 Corinthians 15.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Numbers 23:21-23 (KJV)

21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES: No power can undo the man or woman who God defends.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP: Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: As from today, any tongue that rises against you in judgement shall be condemned, in the Name of Jesus.

The MESSAGE:

Though the children of Israel were unaware of the evil negotiation and intention of Balak, the King of Moab against them, God was aware and because of the Israelites’ right standing with Him, He defended them and made Balaam to bless them rather than curse them. If you have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and live in His will, He will direct untold blessings to your life and keep curses away from you. That was the experience of the children of Israel with Balaam and Balak. There are other things you must do to avoid being cursed.

You must stay away from any act of wickedness. Proverbs 3:33 affirms that the curse of God is in the household of the wicked. Wickedness provides landing space or legal ground for a curse to locate you and prosper in your life. Sin gives birth to wickedness. Choose righteousness and eschew wickedness. David’s sin of adultery with Uriah’s wife and the murder of Uriah were acts of wickedness. Every act of wickedness will attract a curse from God or man. You will avoid being cursed if you stay away from wickedness.

Another way to avoid being cursed is not to dishonour your parents, both biological and spiritual. Proverbs 30:11 and Deuteronomy 27:16 affirm that anyone who dishonours his father or his mother is cursed. God’s command in Deuteronomy 5:16 is clear and should be obeyed, “Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you on the land which the LORD your God gives you.”

In addition, if you have made yourself a specialist in cursing others, curses will also be part and parcel of you. So instead of cursing others, bless them (Psalm 109:18). Therefore, you can avoid being cursed by not cursing others. What goes round comes round. If you preoccupy yourself with blessing others, your own life would dispel curses and attract blessings. Be wise!

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

Blood of Jesus, barricade my life from curses, in the Name of Jesus.
As I preoccupy myself with blessing daily, blessing will be my portion forever, in the Name of Jesus.
Father, forgive me and deliver me from any act that is capable of putting me under a curse, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING

Lord, I thank You because You have become a curse in my stead, in the Name of Jesus.
Sin will not have dominion over me and curses will not locate me, in the Name of Jesus.
I break all inherited curses, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the Name of Jesus.
Father, deliver me from the consequences of all curses in my life and family, in the Name of Jesus.
