TOPIC – Words That Heals.

MEMORISE: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. – Proverbs 18:21

BIBLE READING: Ephesians 4:29

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

THE MESSAGE:

Some teenagers speak without thinking, especially when they are frustrated or upset. What they do not know is that words have the power to either build or tear down.

My dear child, every word you speak carries weight; therefore, choose to be wise with your speech. Speak words that uplift and encourage your hearers. Let your words inspire and spread positivity everywhere you go. Even in tough situations, it is possible to communicate with kindness.

We have a perfect example in Jesus; He used His words to spread love, truth, and wisdom, even to those who didn’t treat Him well. He never used His words to hurt anyone. l implore you to follow His example by using your speech to heal others and bring them peace. Choose to be a person whose words build others up.

KEY POINT:
Let your words encourage others and spread positivity wherever you go.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Luke 4:1-32, Joshua 11-13

HYMN 7 – L AM THINE, O LORD

1 l am Thine, O Lord
I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where ThoU hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessd Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate mne now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3 Oh the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till l cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till T rest in peace with Thee.
