TOPIC – Family Roots.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 47, Isaiah 48, Luke 13, Luke 14.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 19:1-8 (KJV)

1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;

2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES: God is not a civilian, and life is not a picnic. The battlefield of life is a reality. The military garment is mandatory. To win, you must be battle-ready.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP: Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: I cover you with the blood of Jesus, in the Name of Jesus.

THE MESSAGE:

Like a tree, every family has roots. We need to understand the importance of family roots. When individual family units are in good shape, the community and the nation will be in good shape.

In the secondary school that I attended, at least ten students were expelled by the school authorities during my stay there. Whenever we were having lunch in the dining hall, and we were praying on the meal, you dared not close your eyes so that your piece of meat would not be stolen. One day, a boy closed his eyes, and his meat was stolen. He decided to retaliate the following day. Just before it was time for lunch, he asked for permission from the teacher to go to toilet. He headed for the dining hall and removed all the six hundred pieces of meat in six pots. He went to the back of the hall with a bottle of water and ate all the six hundred pieces of meat.

He was caught and was going to be expelled. Then, his parents came to the principal to beg him for mercy. They were poor and wretched -looking. He was their hope, and the expulsion would mean shattering their hope of getting out of their poverty in future. This was a family cage.

The devil understands the power of the family. It is like a book: the parents are the cover pages, and the children are the inner ones. It is the school of human virtues. And because of this role, diverse terrible and wicked spirits are sent to specifically attack successful families. Any family that has the potential of being together and succeeding risks being attacked by wicked spirits, released from the pit of hell. It is the part of the department of the kingdom of satan assigned to pollute, scatter, cage and put families in trouble. This is why you must build your family on the foundation of God, since God is the founder, the supreme authority and the source of the family.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

The power of the wasters will not waste my family, in the Name of Jesus.
The agenda of the enemy over my family, scatter, in the Name of Jesus.
Evil family patterns, die, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING

O God, arise and scatter every evil gathering against my family, in the Name of Jesus.
Cloud of darkness over my family, scatter, in the Name of Jesus.
Roots of my family, receive the purging fire of God, in the Name of Jesus.
O God, arise, uproot anything You did not plant in my family, in the Name of Jesus.
