Open Heaven For Teens 30 July 2026 by Pastor E. A. Adeboye

TOPIC – Kingdom Citizenship.

MEMORISE: Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. – John 3:5

BIBLE READING: Luke 10:25-28

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

MESSAGE:
As Christians, we are all citizens of the Kingdom of God (Philippians 3:20). Citizens of God’s Kingdom do not follow the world’s standards, no matter how popular or logical they may be. They live each day in honour of God. They have a relationship with Him and are committed to His principles. In return, He grants them eternal life.

Before a fellow can become a part of God’s great Kingdom, he or she must first become born again, just as Jesus told Nicodemus in today’s memory verse. When a person is born again, he or she becomes a child of God–anew creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Anyone who accepts Jesus as his or her Saviour will receive eternal life (John 3:16), and such a person can rest in the knowledge that a great reward awaits him or her in eternity.

My dear child, if you are not yet born again, I implore you to surrender your life to Jesus today. Talk to Jesus right now, and tell Him that you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. Thank Him for providing the grace of forgiveness for your sins. Lastly, acknowledge that you believe in His death, burial, and resurrection, and that you know that they are all a part of God’s plan for you. If you’ve said all these, I welcome you into God’s kingdom.

KEY POINT:
As Christians, we are heaven’s citizens, and we should live accordingly on the earth.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Luke 7:1-30 Judges 1-2

HYMN 71- AT THE CROSS

1 O Jesus, Lord, thy dying love
Hath pierced my contrite heart;
Now take my life, and let me prove
How dear to me thou art.

Refrain:

At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart roll’d away,
It was there by faith I receiv’d my sight,
And now I am happy night and day.

2 Amid the night of sin and death
Thy light hath filled my soul;
To me Thy loving voice now saith,
Thy faith hath made thee whole.

3 I kiss Thy feet, I clasp Thy hand,
I touch Thy bleeding side;
O let me here forever stand,
Where thou wast crucified

4 My Lord, my light, my strength, my all,
I count my gain but loss;
Forever let Thy love enthrall,
And keep me at the cross.
