TOPIC – Be A True Witness.

MEMORISE: Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. – 1 Peter 2:12

BIBLE READING: Titus 2:7-8

7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

THE MESSAGE:

A witness is a person who shares a testimony about someone he or she knows to others. In Christendom, we can say that a witness is a fellow who tells other people about Jesus because he or she knows Him and has a relationship with Him.

Being a witness to others about Jesus is one of the things we have been called to do as Christians. To be a true witness of Jesus Christ, we must model His life. It is unfortunate, however, that today, many believers tell others about Jesus while their lifestyles are not patterned after Him. A true witness of Christ will not be found fighting, cursing, fornicating. gossiping, or living a pretentious life.

My dear child, actions, they say, speak louder than words. Hence, let your character and conduct be in sync with the gospel you proclaim. Work on your weaknesses daily and embody the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 so that when you tell others about Jesus, they will be convinced to surrender their lives to Him. Your lifestyle, actions, communication, and relationship with others should preach Christ.

KEY POINT:
Before you witness about Jesus in speech, let your lifestyle preach Him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Luke 4:33-44, Joshua 14-15

HYMN 7 – L AM THINE, O LORD

1 l am Thine, O Lord
I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Chorus:

Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To the cross where ThoU hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3 Oh the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till l cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till T rest in peace with Thee.
