Devotional
Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 4 November 2026 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche
TOPIC: Engaging The Word For Your Preservation.
SCRIPTURE: He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. – Psalm 91:4
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word of God in your heart becomes a shield against the arrows of darkness.
The MESSAGE:
The Word of God is not just given to us for information; it is also given for our preservation.
By virtue of a perpetual injunction from the Word, the sea cannot overrun the earth. Proverbs 8:29 says, When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
That is, He gave the sea His decree, and the waters cannot pass His commandment to overrun the earth and her inhabitants.
Now, if the sea is not permitted to trespass by virtue of His decree in the Word, then it is possible for the same Word to keep the devil from trespassing in your life. It is possible for Word decrees and injunctions to stop every force of hell from overrunning your life.
So, what dimensions of the Word can keep your life?
The Word Kept in the Heart
The Word kept in the heart is a preserver of life and destiny. “…Thy word is truth” (John 17:17), and the Word of God, which is truth, on the table of your heart becomes your shield of protection because…His truth shall be thy shield and buckler (Psalm 91:4). The resident revelation of the Word in your heart is a spiritual defensive shield against arrows of darkness.
Proceed with resident revelations. A resident revelation is a revelation that has taken residence and root in your heart. The revelation you install in your heart when you are awake keeps you when you are asleep. There is a Word that can keep you when you can’t keep yourself, and when no one else can keep you (Proverbs 6:20-22).
The Word Believed and Spoken Consistently
If you believe it, then you speak it consistently. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
The moment you meditate on the Word, revelation explodes into conviction, and then you speak by declaring your position on the matter at hand.
Every time you speak the Word, you are sowing a seed. When you sow the seed of the Word of preservation, you reap the harvest of preservation. When you give voice to the Word of God, you move angels into assignment (Psalm 103:20).
The Word Acted on in Obedience
There are relevant actions on the Word that if carried out bring preservation. Psalm 17:4 says, By the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
There are things that, if you fail to do, even God will be helpless to preserve you. Adam failed to obey God and ate the fruit against God’s instruction and that brought about the curse of death upon him and his generations after him. No wonder, Psalm 119:67 says, Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Beloved, engage the Word for your preservation. Let the Word reside in your heart, believe it, declare it consistently, and act on it in obedience.
